What Are NAS Bolts?

NAS bolts are made to National Aerospace Standards out of an 8740 alloy steel. The tensile strength of the 1100 and 1300 series bolts is 160,000 PSI in tension and 95,000 PSI in shear, the 6200 and 6600 series bolts have a higher tensile strength at 180,000 PSI.

Thread lengths are as follows:
1100 and 6200 Series have a short thread length
1300 and 6600 Series have a standard thread length

The older 1100 and 1300 series is now being replaced with the improved 6200 and 6600 series. Where available we will always supply the latter.

K Nuts

Precision formed Hexagon nuts, also referred to as 6-point nuts, in wrenchable format and offer tremendous versatility for design and functional requirements. All of these Nuts are small, lightweight, self locking and have an extremely high tensile strength.

Our K Nut range now includes high temperature silver plate 6 point K Nuts designed to withstand temperatures of up to 425°C. Great for use in applications that can reach high operating temperatures such as exhaust manifolds, turbo's, clutches etc.

Washers

MS20002/MS20002C Washers
High strength, heat treated washers, made for use with NAS bolts, and come with and without a chamfer. The chamfer "C" version washer matches the radius under the bolt head. The "plain" (non-chamfered) MS 20002 washer is to be used under the nut.

AN960/AN960L Washers
AN washers are available in 1/16" (regular) and 1/32 (light) thickness in a given diameter, finished in gold cad-plated steel.

This Anchor Plate is ideal for panel fitment where access is restricted and features a floating captive nut.
